If you want to edit your template's HTML, add a post first!

I'm still learning about how to design and decorate a blog even though I've had one for at least 4 years. I've been trying to upload my main website's template onto this one and it wasn't working for the longest time. Then I realized you need to at least add a post first before uploading a template.

THEN you need to upload one of Blogger's templates. Just pick one randomly. After that you'll need to go back to the Template section, select Backup/Restore and upload an HTML file of your main page's HTML code. Then voila! It should work! In the near future I may post a step-by-step guide on how to do this.
